Brandee shares what it is like to connect deeply within to understand your true genius and purpose, balance the masculine and feminine energies, get into flow and surrender to inspiration.

Melinda Wittstock:         Brandee, welcome to Wings.

Brandee Powell:              Hello.

Melinda Wittstock:         I am so excited to have you flying with us today and I always like to start these Minisodes with what is inspiring you right now?

Brandee Powell:              Oh what is inspiring me right now is action. It’s really … I wake up I see these situation of what’s happening on Earth right now in social media and it’s just mind-blowing to see where we’re at. And yet, I’m so inspired and I’m so excited because I’m feeling this momentum of then light that’s here to pull us out of this situation and watching all of the people who are stepping up to their calling and their assignment and what they’re here to do, what their piece is in evolving us to this next stage. So I’m really inspired about watching people wake up and step into what it is that they’re here to do.

Melinda Wittstock:         Gosh, isn’t it amazing that around us there is so much of this, literally stepping into the light, getting into alignment. A kind of conversations that are easy to have now would have been considered totally woo-woo way out there, like it feels like even six months ago.

Brandee Powell:              Totally. Totally.

Melinda Wittstock:         Right? The pace of change is phenomenal and of course there’s resistance to it as well. But-

Brandee Powell:              Yeah.

Melinda Wittstock:         … so much positive energy in the world, I think.

Brandee Powell:              So much positive and while there’s so much light, accelerating so quickly, the same is happening. You know, there’s a polarization happening so the old systems are crumbling, things that don’t work are crumbling really quickly and you know it’s crazy to watch and it’s exciting. I have a lot of faith and I see the beauty of what’s happening right now.

Melinda Wittstock:         Absolutely. And it’s always exciting, these moments of change, because for any entrepreneur, you immediately spot the opportunity and so there’s a marvelous opportunity right now for women and men to really step into using their entrepreneurial skills to solve some of these major problems. So I share your enthusiasm and inspiration around all of that. And of course, none of it comes without challenge as well and we like to demystify the challenges of entrepreneurship or de-stigmatize them rather on this Minisode. So what are some of yours?

Brandee Powell:              I would say something that I’ve been working on in myself is finding the balance of my feminine energy while creating and being an entrepreneur and have being trained in a system that’s very masculine. So you know for me, it’s just been really finding my way as a woman, in my way of creating and starting to recognize the difference of these two different ways of being and this has been really powerful for me to understand what my abilities are and my gifts and my way of bringing them forward in the world that keeps me in harmony and in balance so that I don’t burn out in the process.

Melinda Wittstock:         Oh gosh. You know this is such a major problem for women. I think most of us depending on the generation, I mean even now I know so many women in their 20s who are the woman in the room if they’re in technology and it’s so tempting to go into that masculine energy to kind of get things done, be in pursuit, you know be in the hustle. But we all burn out when we do that. I find, though, if I go too much into my feminine it’s awesome. I’m really intuitive and empathetic but then I don’t get anything done so.

Brandee Powell:              Exactly.

Melinda Wittstock:         You need to find the balance.

Brandee Powell:              Absolutely. Yes. Since I’ve been finding that same balance in myself and finding that I’m able to get so much more done, when I’m really taking care of myself and being more intentional with my time and with my day, even setting my day up from the very moment that I wake up, and taking the work that I do in Rythmia, the ceremonial work and bringing it into every day life and creating my future self and bringing my future self into the present moment right now.

Melinda Wittstock:         Oh I love that. So what a perfect segue into your advice for everybody who’s listening today. What would be your top three go-to pieces of advice for women in business?

Brandee Powell:              Well number one: I say, get connected to yourself. You know for so many years I was just creating and pushing and forcing and I’d get an idea and I was very masculine in my approach of how I would make it happen. But also it was really … it was also exhausting, you know. And feel that the more that we’re living in this fast-paced world, and women are having to wear so many different hats, and play so many different roles, we just get disconnected from our self. And it makes everything so much more difficult. So what ever it is that you need to do, to meditate, to … you know for me, I’m into all types of different work that helps me get connected. Our center does transformational breath work, or plant medicine or meditation, whatever it is to bring it into your daily life, to get into your center and create from that space, is number one.

And then number two, from that space you just go into a flow. When you’re in the flow of nature, you know synchronicities happen more frequently and you’re under this guidance where everything has already happened, and you’re aligning with that frequency rather than feeling like it’s all on your shoulders and that you have to do it and carry it all on your own and wear all of these many hats.

I would say my second would be to, I would say to also surrender. This has been a big piece for me in business is I have my idea of how I think everything’s supposed to go, and the universe, God, whatever it is that you believe in, the higher force that is orchestrating all of this, has a vision that fits so much greater then what we can even imagine. So while you’re chasing your vision and your goals, be flexible and be open to something greater guiding you and when something comes in and pulls you in a different direction, rather than forcing and fighting and controlling, being in surrender and that’s been something very difficult but also very beautiful that actually guided me and brought me into my life work was when that moment, when I finally let go of doing it my way and surrendered to what was actually happening.

Melinda Wittstock:         Gosh, you know surrender was actually my word for 2018 because you eloquently described my own struggle, you know, the sad thing is your ego ends up limiting your horizons, right? Not expanding them so getting past that is a big struggle. I wish that could have happened a little bit earlier in my life for me. I feel like I’m getting closer and closer and closer to really just acting on divine inspiration and not really sweating the how.

Brandee Powell:              Yeah.

Melinda Wittstock:         As much as I used to.

Brandee Powell:              Exactly. Yeah. And that would lead me to number three is just showing up and giving it your best every day and watching even if you don’t know how, like you said, how it’s all going to unfold, just taking like what’s in front of you right now, whatever that is, and giving it your all and really showing up for what that is because a lot of times we get stuck thinking like, “Oh, I’m doing this but I really should be doing this.” And then we don’t show up for what’s in front of us. But really Spirit’s bringing us exactly what we need right now even if it’s not what we want and so the more that we tune in to what is right now and what is the lesson in it and what are we getting from this and show up for this opportunity, and especially, when we’re able to get the lessons out of the things that we don’t want in our lives, this is how I found that I’m able to shift things into something that’s more comfortable or what I want. So yeah, that would be my third.

Melinda Wittstock:         Oh that’s wonderful. Great advice. So Brandee, how can people find you and work with you and tell us a little bit about how they can get connected and go to Rythmia for this amazing experience that you host there?

Brandee Powell:              Yeah. Well, we have different weeks happening at Rythmia pretty much almost every week of the year, we’re open and whether you’re called to working with the plant medicine or we also have weeks without the plant medicine with transformational breath work, and you go through a program where you set an intention and you go through a process to see, you know, what it is that you can’t see that’s holding you back from really living in that next level of yourself in your highest potential in that future self and dream for yourself that just is out of reach. And then you go through a process of connecting back with yourself, with your soul because, you know, through this lifetime and, you know, a lot of, I’m sure a lot of the people that listen to your podcast have done a lot of the transformational work and read hundreds, thousands of transformational self help books like myself.

I’ve been doing this work for probably 13, 14 years and I was just shocked at how some of the same patterns just had such a grip on my life. This program is an accelerated path. We’re accessing altered states of consciousness where we have access to the parts of ourselves that we can’t see. Our subconscious mind, our emotional body, the places where we’ve, you know, we have traumas and false beliefs and fears that are holding us back from allowing our higher self to shine through and take over and guide our lives so this is what the program’s all about. We’ve had 4000 plus people go through the program. 95% of them have had life changing miracles, self reported, before they leave the trip.

And if anyone is feeling called to step into the next level of themselves, check out Rythmia, R-Y-T-H-M-I-A. Rythmia.com and found what week is calling you.

Melinda Wittstock:         That’s wonderful. Thank you for explaining all of this and just a side note to Wings listeners, Brandee and I are going to collaborate on a really interesting experience next year at Rythmia so we’ll keep you posted about that and I mean, all I can say is, I know the power of this transformation personally. I mean, I went all the way into the Amazon Rainforest to have that experience and it is truly transformational and I think for anybody who’s a entrepreneur as well. I mean, we’re all so impatient, right. Like let’s get it done. Let’s clear this stuff out, right? So we can go and succeed and kind of live the, so I love the efficiency of the acceleration on it as well from a fairly business point of view as well.

Brandee Powell:              I know how in our last, when we were in our last meet up at the Unicorn Club, the woman who said, “We don’t have 20 years to wallow in transformation.”

Melinda Wittstock:         Yeah, we got to get it done. Get it done. Get it done. Get it done.

Brandee Powell:              We got to handle business right now.

Melinda Wittstock:         Exactly.

Brandee Powell:              Exactly.

Melinda Wittstock:         I love it. Brandee, thank you so much for putting on your Wings.

Brandee Powell:              Thank you so much. Thanks for having me.
