The proverbial ‘work life’ balance is more like a dance. And who better to share all things dance than the CEO and founder of Bella Ballerina. Natalie Perkins shares how her franchising model empowers women and moms to create companies that fulfill their business and entrepreneurial ambitions while allowing a flexible lifestyle that enables a wonderful personal life.
Women in business often feel torn between their business, their kids, and their partner. It ends up making them feel stretched too thin, overworked, overwhelmed, trying to please everyone and pleasing no one.
It’s the proverbial ‘work life’ balance issue – and to Natalie Perkins it is more like a dance.
Natalie Perkins is the CEO and founder of Bella Ballerina. She shares with WINGS host Melinda Wittstock how her franchising model empowers women and moms to create companies that fulfill their business and entrepreneurial ambitions while allowing a flexible lifestyle that enables a wonderful personal life.
Here are some of Natalie’s tips for entrepioneering women:
- Failure is Feedback: Natalie says don’t be afraid of the “no” or to get negative feedback from customers. Often only by testing hypotheses – and not being afraid to fail – can we learn the important lessons that help us grow our businesses. And never take it personally!
- Entrepreneurship is Therapy: “If you are an insecure person to begin with, entrepreneurship is either going to …push that to the side, or it’s going to make you crumble. It’s one or the other.”
- Starting a Business Later in Life: Women often start businesses later in life, and Natalie says don’t shy away just because you have kids. Having kids makes many women better leaders and managers.
