Sarah Clifford Owen was a full-time project manager in the healthcare space juggling her busy career with motherhood, when one day she had the inspiration to learn how to make candles that would eliminate household odors – with non-toxic ingredients.
She turned from bingeing Netflix to Googling candle making, and before long, her kitchen became her lab. For a year and a half, she learned everything about the candle business, and kept her confidence in her idea by keeping her big plans to herself.
The result is the fast-growing Worthington Collection, handmade candles with non-toxic and vegan ingredients.
